Community Outreach and Support
Beyond food, we connect families with benefits enrollment, nutrition education, and referrals to housing, healthcare, and other essential services.
Mission Statement
At NRHI, our mission is to end food insecurity in our community by rescuing surplus food, distributing it with dignity, and building sustainable, zero-waste systems that nourish people without harming the planet. We believe access to nutritious food is a basic human right — not a privilege — and we work every day to make that belief a reality for the families, seniors, and individuals who need us most.
Vision Statement
A community where no one goes hungry, and where food that would otherwise be wasted becomes a lifeline for those who need it.

Who We Are

15 +
years of
experience
NRHI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity through innovative, sustainable solutions. We partner with grocers and community organizations to rescue food that would otherwise go to waste and get it into the hands of people who need it — quickly, respectfully, and reliably.
Since our founding, we’ve grown from a small volunteer effort into a coordinated network of distribution sites, partner organizations, and community volunteers working toward one goal: a hunger-free community.
