Food Distribution Programs
We run regular food distributions—pantry-style sites, mobile distributions, and partnerships with community institutions—designed to deliver nutritious food directly to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Our distributions are built around dignity and accessibility: no barriers, no judgment, just food when and where it’s needed.

Zero-Waste Food Rescue
Nearly 40% of food in the U.S. goes to waste while millions face hunger. NRH exists to interrupt that cycle. We partner with grocery stores, restaurants, farms, and event venues to rescue surplus, edible food before it’s thrown away — sorting, storing, and redistributing it safely and efficiently.
What this looks like:
- Scheduled pickups from grocery partners
- Cold-chain storage to preserve food safety and quality
- Data tracking to measure food (and emissions) saved

Community Outreach & Support
Food insecurity rarely exists in isolation — it’s connected to housing instability, healthcare access, and economic hardship. Our outreach team meets people where they are, connecting them not just to food, but to the broader resources they need.
What this looks like:
- Benefits enrollment assistance (SNAP, WIC, and other programs)
- Nutrition education and cooking demonstrations
- Referrals to housing, healthcare, and financial assistance partners
- Case management for families in crisis
